Start off Small

Sometimes actually starting a project, business or dream can be the hardest part. It can seem overwhelming and like you've thrown yourself into the deep end! To soften the blow, simply start off small.

Starting Small

These bow-tie styled hair ties were one of the first hair accessories I created. SUPER simple. SUPER easy! But still fun and on track with what I wanted to create... and the people love them! I made sure the design was pretty simple so making them would be easy and quick. Why?

1. Because I probably wasn't ready to tackle something harder and be willing to sell it and

2. Because I could accomplish some simple goals quickly. (i.e selling 10 hair ties)

Honestly, the making process is this easy: Cut out bow tie shape in fabric, tie round hair tie. BOOM. Make 10 of those in time for children going back to school and there we begin!

Doesn't that beat immediately being under the pressure of making a dress for a strangers daughter for her 12th birthday party, without any prior experience in dress making? Yep!

I got to then focus on creating a social media page and start selling my products. This gave me confidence and some money to pursue bigger things! Apply this to your life

If your planning on starting anything, whether it be a business, new job, building a house, reading a book, or following any sort of dream, start of with some SIMPLE SMALL STEPS that will help you. Create realistic goals to help track progress and be ever ready to self evaluate and make adjustments where necessary.

Don't be afraid to fail along the way. You might not be the mater of it straight away and that's fine!

Have fun, learn, adventure, trust the process.
